When you book a stay at Leonaras Arenal, we want you to feel completely at home the moment you arrive. Below, we've gathered the essential house instructions, safety rules, and local neighborhood details from our digital welcome book to ensure your vacation is safe, relaxing, and comfortable.
The Neighborhood & Location
Our house is situated on a very quiet, secure private street with only 10 houses. Since only residents and guests use this road, traffic is minimal.
- Distance to Town: We are located just 2km (1.24 miles) from the Fortuna Town Center. It is a quick 4-minute drive, and a bus stop is just 150 meters from our gate.
- Safety: The area is peaceful and safe, guarded by a security fence around the property and surveillance cameras along the perimeter.
Self Check-In & Check-Out
- Check-in (3:00 PM): We utilize secure self check-in. Before your arrival, we will send you the PIN code for the security key box located at the entrance.
- Check-out (11:00 AM): Simply lock the main entrance door, place the key back in the lockbox, and scramble the combination.
Important House Guidelines
To protect the peace of our neighbors and keep our eco-friendly house clean:
- No Smoking: Smoking and vaping of any kind are strictly prohibited anywhere on the property.
- Quiet Hours: We ask guests to keep noise levels moderate, especially after 10:00 PM. Events or parties are not allowed.
- Max Capacity: The maximum occupancy is 5 guests (the 5th guest can use the living room sofa bed). Unregistered guests are not permitted.
- No Pets: To prevent allergic reactions for future guests, pets are not allowed.
Jungle Proximity & Flying Friends
Because our house is close to the lush rainforest and a freshwater river, local wildlife (including monkeys, toucans, and sloths!) often visit. To ensure a bug-free environment:
- The windows are equipped with insect screens.
- We recommend closing all doors after 5:00 PM since indoor lights attract nocturnal insects.
